A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDERS

Welcome to our organization and thank you for your interest.  My sister and I started the organization in 2006 to provide dance arts education to at-risk youth that reside in underserved communities in New Jersey, namely, Bergen & Passaic counties. We believe no child should be denied dance arts based on family income levels. Every child has creativity within, and our program will allow them to express themselves through dance creativity in a safe environment.  

 

Since we started our outreach programs in Paterson Public Schools in 2014, we realized the number of talented young children who have developed a love of dance but are unable to afford professional dance lessons. We expanded the dance outreach program to Teaneck and Hackensack NJ  public schools, hosting the dance program (Milestones Ballet Outreach Program) onsite at the schools. 

 

Teaching the students ballet has been an invaluable and rewarding experience for us. Our hearts are filled with passion as we see them blossom into beautiful ballerinas.  Our “mentoring through dance” programs are designed to help strengthen and develop self-esteem, self-confidence, self-discipline through dance art expression. The organization was created to provide children with an arts program and to assure our youth an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of dance while developing an appreciation of the arts. Since we have been in the dance world, we have seen kids drop out of our dance program due to financial circumstances. Our goal is to empower our youth through dance arts education.   

 

Every child has creativity within, and our program will allow them to unleash their inner creativity through dance expression. Your contribution and support ensure our continued success in the community.
